Landscape Designer Recruitment
No Fee Until You Hire
WHY THIS ROLE IS HARD TO HIRE
- Landscape Designers combine creative design skills with practical knowledge of plants, materials, site conditions, and landscape construction. Employers need professionals who can develop attractive concepts while ensuring that designs are functional, coordinated, and realistic to implement.
- The strongest candidates can work with landscape architects, architects, engineers, contractors, developers, and clients throughout the design process. In addition, experience with planting design, hardscape, CAD, rendering, specifications, and landscape documentation can make experienced designers particularly valuable.
- Because successful candidates need both visual design ability and practical site knowledge, finding the right Landscape Designer can be challenging. Brightway helps organizations identify candidates whose portfolios, technical capabilities, project experience, and communication skills align with their specific requirements.
Brightway helps you find the right talent faster.
Brightway recruits Landscape Designer professionals with the creative, technical, and project coordination capabilities required for landscape and site-design projects. We evaluate candidates against each organization's project types, design standards, software requirements, and team structure.

What does a Landscape Designer Do?
Landscape Concept Development
A Landscape Designer develops concepts for gardens, outdoor spaces, courtyards, residential landscapes, commercial sites, and other environments. They consider the site's character, intended use, aesthetics, and practical constraints.
Planting Design
They select and arrange plants based on climate, site conditions, visual goals, maintenance requirements, and seasonal performance. Planting plans help communicate the intended composition and implementation strategy.
Hardscape & Material Selection
Landscape Designers develop concepts for paving, walls, paths, outdoor structures, furnishings, and other hardscape elements. Material selections contribute to both the appearance and functionality of the site.
Site Planning & Documentation
They prepare site layouts, planting plans, details, and other design documentation required for project coordination. Depending on project scope, they may also assist with grading and drainage concepts.
Project Coordination
Landscape Designers collaborate with landscape architects, architects, engineers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders. Effective coordination helps ensure landscape solutions integrate properly with buildings, infrastructure, and broader site objectives.
