What does a Wind Energy Project Manager Do?
Project Planning
Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, milestones, resource requirements, and execution strategies for wind energy projects.
Development & Construction Coordination
Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction contractors, equipment suppliers, field teams, and development partners.
Budget & Schedule Management
Monitor project costs and timelines, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to maintain project targets.
Risk & Stakeholder Management
Identify project risks and coordinate mitigation strategies while maintaining communication with utilities, contractors, developers, and internal stakeholders.
Commissioning & Closeout
Oversee final construction activities, commissioning, documentation, issue resolution, and project closeout.

Education
A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, energy, or a related field is commonly preferred.
Certifications
PMP certification or another recognized project management credential can be beneficial.
