What does a Production Supervisor Do?
Supervise Production Operations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise daily chemical manufacturing activities and ensure production operations follow established safety, quality, and operating requirements.
- Lead production personnel, coordinate staffing and work assignments, and maintain effective communication across production shifts.
- Monitor production output, schedules, equipment performance, quality, downtime, and operational issues.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, quality, and EHS teams to troubleshoot production challenges and implement corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving productivity, reducing waste and downtime, strengthening safety, and maintaining consistent production performance.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Experience
3-7+ years of experience in production supervision, chemical manufacturing, manufacturing operations, process operations, or a related discipline, preferably within a chemical processing or manufacturing environment.
Education
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline preferred.
Certifications
OSHA, Lean Six Sigma, process safety, or other relevant manufacturing and safety certifications can be beneficial depending on employer requirements.
