KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead medical malpractice, medical negligence, professional liability, and healthcare litigation matters from initial evaluation through resolution.
- Develop litigation strategies by analyzing medical records, evidence, expert opinions, liability, damages, and potential exposure.
- Advise physicians, healthcare organizations, insurers, and other clients regarding malpractice claims and litigation risks.
- Supervise associates and coordinate with medical experts, clients, opposing counsel, insurers, and other stakeholders.
- Handle negotiations, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial proceedings while maintaining client relationships and practice objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Experience
8-20+ years of experience in medical malpractice, professional liability, healthcare litigation, medical negligence, or a related legal practice.
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Active admission to the applicable state bar and eligibility to practice as required.
