What does a Production Supervisor Do?

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise daily pharmaceutical manufacturing activities and coordinate production teams to meet established schedules and operational priorities.

- Ensure production activities follow established procedures, GMP requirements, safety standards, documentation practices, and quality expectations.
- Collaborate with quality assurance, quality control, engineering, maintenance, warehouse, and supply chain teams to resolve operational issues and maintain production continuity.
- Monitor production performance and support continuous improvement initiatives that improve productivity, efficiency, quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Experience
3-8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, production supervision, manufacturing operations, or a related discipline, preferably within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, or a related discipline preferred. Relevant manufacturing experience may be considered depending on the employer.
Certifications
GMP, Lean Six Sigma, OSHA, or other relevant manufacturing, quality, or safety certifications can be beneficial depending on employer requirements.
