KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and interpret insurance policies, endorsements, exclusions, and related documents.
- Analyze insurance claims and determine potential coverage, liability, and policy obligations.
- Conduct legal research and prepare coverage opinions, memoranda, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Advise clients on coverage disputes, reservations of rights, negotiations, mediations, and litigation.
- Communicate with insurers, claims professionals, policyholders, brokers, opposing counsel, experts, and other stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Experience
3-15+ years of experience in insurance coverage, insurance defense, insurance litigation, policy analysis, or a related legal practice.
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Active admission to the applicable state bar and eligibility to practice as required.
