What does a Audit Associate Do?
Perform Audit Testing
An Audit Associate performs testing procedures on financial transactions, account balances, and supporting documentation to gather appropriate audit evidence.
Analyze Financial Records
Reviews financial information and supporting records to identify discrepancies, unusual activity, and areas requiring additional investigation.
Test Internal Controls
Assists with evaluating and testing internal controls to determine whether key processes are designed and operating appropriately.
Prepare Audit Documentation
Creates detailed workpapers documenting procedures performed, evidence obtained, findings identified, and conclusions reached.
Support Engagement Teams
Works with Senior Auditors, Audit Managers, and client personnel to complete assigned procedures, resolve questions, and meet engagement deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform audit testing and substantive procedures while gathering and documenting appropriate audit evidence.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Experience
0-5+ years of experience in auditing, public accounting, assurance, accounting, financial reporting, or a related field.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certifications
CPA eligibility or progress toward CPA certification may be preferred depending on the position and employer.
