What does a Manufacturing Engineer Do?

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes, production methods, tooling, and equipment for aerospace products.
- Analyze production processes and manufacturing data to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, quality, throughput, and cost performance.
- Collaborate with design, production, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Support new product introduction, process validation, production readiness, engineering changes, and manufacturing documentation.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives designed to reduce waste, improve manufacturability, increase productivity, and maintain consistent production quality.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Experience
5-10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, aerospace manufacturing, process engineering, production engineering, or a related discipline.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
Certifications
Lean Six Sigma, manufacturing process, quality, or other relevant engineering certifications can be beneficial depending on employer requirements.
