KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advise older adults, families, and fiduciaries on elder law, estate planning, long-term care, guardianship, and related legal matters.
- Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and other planning documents.
- Provide guidance on long-term care planning, Medicaid-related matters, asset protection, and applicable government benefit requirements.
- Represent clients in guardianship, conservatorship, fiduciary, estate, and other elder law proceedings.
- Coordinate with families, financial advisors, healthcare professionals, trustees, and other professionals to address complex aging-related legal needs.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Experience
2-20+ years of experience in elder law, estate planning, trusts and estates, long-term care planning, Medicaid planning, guardianship, or a related legal practice.
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Active admission to the applicable state bar and eligibility to practice as required.
