What does a Lean Manufacturing Manager Do?
Lead Lean Initiatives

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across production and operational functions.
- Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve productivity, increase throughput, and control operating costs.
- Lead Kaizen events, value stream mapping, process improvement projects, and other Lean initiatives.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to implement standardized processes and sustainable improvements.
- Establish performance measures and continuous improvement practices that help maintain Lean gains and strengthen long-term operational performance.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Experience
5-10+ years of experience in Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, or a related discipline, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
Certifications
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, ASQ, or other relevant Lean and continuous improvement certifications can be beneficial depending on employer requirements.
