What does a Litigation Attorney Do?
Develop Litigation Strategy

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represent clients in commercial litigation matters and develop strategies based on the facts, applicable law, and client objectives.
- Conduct legal research and analysis and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery materials, and other litigation documents.
- Manage discovery, depositions, hearings, negotiations, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation as required.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, courts, and internal legal teams throughout the litigation process.
- Evaluate litigation risks and settlement opportunities while pursuing effective resolutions that protect client interests.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Experience
3-10+ years of experience in commercial litigation, business litigation, civil litigation, or a related practice area, depending on the seniority of the position.
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Active admission to the applicable state bar and eligibility to practice before relevant state and federal courts as required by the position.
